Mr. Lenward Williams Jr.

     Mr. Lenward Williams Jr. was born on March 31, 1946 to the late Ethel and Lenward Williams Sr. in Lumberton, NC. God called him to rest on March 29, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern. He was a free spirited man, he enjoyed life, laughter, as well as people.

     In the late 1960’s he joined the US Army, and served his country. He was honorably discharged in 1968. He did different jobs until he was hired By Alamac Knit. He was employed there for twenty or more years until his retirement in 2002, at which time his health began to fail. He fought the fight until God called him to rest.

     He leaves behind his loving wife, Dorothy Williams, two sons, Christopher Williams and Shabazz Williams of Phoenix, AZ; Step children, William (Ethel) Lesane, Angela (Scottie) Lesane, Christopher (Becky) Lesane, Teresa Graham, Wander (Fredrick) Young of Virgina; Gloria McCollum of Lumberton, NC, grandchildren, Pamela Lesane of Lumberton, NC; Jasacola (Walker) Barber of Charlotte, NC Shanka Lesan of Lumberton, NC, Gimmi Lesane of Fayetteville, NC San Sledge, Joshua McCollum of Lumberton, NC, Zipporal (Dez) of Thomasville, NC, Keanna McNeil of Oklahoma, Yvette Leach of Lumberton, NC, Courtney McNeil of Lumberton, NC Toya Walters, Monty Walters and Malasun Lesane all of Lumberton, NC, three brothers, JW Williams of Thomasville, NC, Willie Thomas (Brenda) McArn and Roy Lee both of Greensboro, NC; two nieces, Beverly (Darnell) Thompson and Lisa (Wendell)  Richardson both of Lumberton, NC, three great nieces, one nephew, Gene (Katrina) Glover of Lumberton, NC, seven special cousins, Davie (Follie) Roberts of Lumberton, NC, Bill (Marcina) Roberts of Fayetteville, NC, Mary Perison and Velma Brown of Fayetteville, NC, Jerry (Rose) Roberts, Duke (Mary) of Lumberton, NC and host of other cousins and friends.
