Mr. Kenneth L. McCrimmon

Tribute

       Mr. Kenneth L. (Foots) McCrimmon was born February 9, 1961. His earthly life ended very quietly and peacefully on May 22, 2023 in Yonkers, NY.

      Kenneth was the son Mr. Archie Lee and Mae Kate Thompson McCrimmon and upon their untimely death, he became the son of his uncle and aunt, Mr. Lawrence and Mrs. Willie Mae McCrimmon.

     He confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized. He joined First Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. J.J. Johnson. Kenneth was very active in the church and was a faithful member of the youth choir.

     Kenneth was the essence of all human love. It was his nature to be caring, compassionate and concerned about others.

Kenneth joined the Army under the early Enlistment Program in High School. Sgt. Jeffery McCree was a Home Town Recruiter and told “Foots” all the opportunities that the Army can offer. He drove him to Lumberton and signed him up. “Foots” was a hard worker. His army career included him being stationed at Ft. Dix N.J. and Germany. He received a honorable discharge in 1984. “Foots” was a skilled painter and carpenter. He traveled throughout New York with private contractors.

     A Celebration of Life was held for “Foots in Yonkers, N.Y. and Newport News, V.A.

      He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Patricia McCrimmon of Newport News, VA; daughter, Tobias McCrimmon, sons Drew McCrimmon of Newport News, VA; and Antonia McCrimmon of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Phostenia McCrimmon of Fairmont, NC; and Lear Jean Hughes of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Ret. Sgt. Major Robert T. McCrimmon (Pat) of Columbus, GA; Godson, C.J. McNair of Fairmont, NC; and cousin raised as a sister, Michelle M. Belches of Troy, NY; a host of loving nieces nephews, cousins and special friends, Calvin, Eric, Gregg, KonJak, Danny, Rev. Calvin, Rev. Ricky, Madison St. Family and FHS class of 1980.
