Mr. John David Dennis

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. John David Dennis, 69, of Chadbourn NC. 

      On the beautiful morning of August 11, 2025, God sent His death angels to receive him at his home. As I imagine him saying last “Oh my God!” Our dear beloved father, grandfather, brother, husband, cousin and friend John David Dennis “JD” was born January 20, 1956, to the late Woodrow and Annie Bell Dennis.

     JD attended West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo, NC.

     JD went by so many nicknames that fitted him best. Many people called him Jake, Snake, Minute Man, and Stucco Man. To know JD was to love him the most.

     JD leaves to cherish his loving memories to his wife, Sharon Dennis of Whiteville, NC; his children, Jamieka Oliver (Vanessa) of South Carolina, Andrea Young of New Jersey, JD Dennis Jr. (Yalonda Evans) of Whiteville, NC; Jessica Addison of Whiteville, NC; Talanda Dennis (Gary Robinson) of Chadbourn, NC; Christine Young of Lumberton, NC; and Jordannah Dennis of Fayetteville, NC; He has twenty-five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, his siblings left without their loving brother, sisters, Julia Moore of the home, Mary Brown (Alford) of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Mike Dennis of Concord, NC; and Larry Evans (Marva) of Clarkton, NC. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
