Mr. Jimmy Fulmore Tribute

Jimmy Ray Fulmore peacefully died in Durham University Hospital January 8, 2021.
Jimmy was born on December 1, 1946 in Fairmont, NC to Woodrow and Fannie
Fulmore. He was the seventh child of the eleven children born from the marriage. He
attended and graduated from Proctorville School eventually moving to New York City
where he studied and began a career as a Master Barber. Jimmy married Anna Turner
of Orrum, NC on December 26, 1966. During his time in New York, he enjoyed many
things. One in particular was to learn Jehovah was God’s name and his wonderful
promises to all mankind. It touched him that he became one of Jehovah's Witnesses on
June 21, 1974.
To safely raise his family, we moved back to Orrum, NC where he worked at Converse
to support our growing family. He and Anna raised five beautiful children: Timmy Ray
Fulmore (deceased), Nichele Fulmore Howell (Steve Howell) of Lumberton N.C,
Trumell Fulmore Dwyer (Charlie Dwyer) of Apopka FL., Aquila Fulmore Green
(Monte’ Green) of Douglasville GA., and De-Jarnett Fulmore also of Douglasvile GA.
Jimmy was “PaPa" to three grand children: Hydeia Fulmore of Rota, Spain, Justin
Howell of Lumberton NC, and Tristan Bethea of Douglasville Ga. Jimmy spent many
years employed with and retired from Lowes Home Improvement. With death, Jimmy
leaves a brother Lance Fulmore (Willie Mae Fulmore), two sisters, Vivian Fulmore and
Louise Reaves of Fairmont N.C. and a large number of loving neices, nephews and
friends.
All who spent time with Jimmy will have their own special memories of him. Some of
these include his foot moves “swing" dancing, his old time stories of growing up, his
time at the yearly family reunion and that laugh you could hear clear across the room!
Whatever are your memories, may these thoughts comfort and keep you!
The family would like to thank everyone for the kind words, prayers, cards, phone calls
and e-mails. Since so many have expressed so much love to us, we would like to share
our love to you with a few words of comfort. Jimmy too loved these words and often
comforted others with them.
“And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more,
neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed
away.” (Revelation 21:4)
“Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial
tombs will hear his voice and come out...” (John 5:28,29)
Jimmy is loved and will be missed!
