Mr. James Willie Townsend

     Mr. James Willie Townsend, son of the late James Townsend and Leola Pittman-Townsend was born on
September 10, 1949 in Lumberton, North Carolina. He departed this life on November 30, 2022 in
Elizabethtown, NC in Bladen County.
    At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He would give you his last. Helping family
and others made him happy. That was his purpose. For living and telling the goodness of the Lord.
    He was preceded in death by four sisters, Zula Alford, Elsie Hill, Annie Hammonds, and Carrie
Robinson and three brothers, Leroy Townsend, Justin Townsend, and Grady Townsend.
    He leaves to cherish his memories, four sisters, Peggy
Townsend of Orrum, NC; Shirley Jacobs (Tommie), Claudia Page (James) and Kay Frances Gore all of
Lumberton, NC; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Townsend of Orrum, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, other relatives and friends.
