It's with profound sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. James Albert Page Jr. Mr. Page, 84 transitioned on November 29, 2025, at Perry Point Veterans Hospital in Perry Point Maryland.
James Albert Page, Jr., son of the late James Albert Page, Sr. of Lake View, South Carolina, and Mabel Harlee of Elrod, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the Perry Point VA Medical Center Hospice Unit in Perry Point, Maryland.
He was Born in Lumberton, North Carolina on August 22, 1941 and raised in Elrod, he was the eldest of two children and grew up surrounded by a close, loving family. He graduated from Southside High School in 1959 and entered the United States Air Force immediately thereafter. His distinguished military career included service in Vietnam in reconnaissance and participation in Operation Eagle Claw in 1980.
James was a devoted husband to Jessie Mae Womack of Smithfield, North Carolina, and a committed father to Gwendolyn Baker (deceased), Tonya Page, Meredith Page, and James Page III (U.S. Navy - OIF/OEF). He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathedra Page. He is survived by several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his nearly three decades of dedicated military service and his lifelong passion for education. His legacy of discipline, strength, and quiet commitment will live on through all who loved him.
