Mr. James Maxwell McCormick

     Mr. James Maxwell McCormick was born on June 17, 1939 in Rowland, NC, to the late Sampson McCormick and Beatrice McCormick.  He departed this life on March 5, 2022 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Whiteville, North Carolina.

     He attended and served as a Stewart at Mt. Horeb AME Church in Evergreen, NC, where his pastor was Rev. Guy Sidbury.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (3) sisters; Mariam Ladson, Ida Ladson, and Helen Johnson, (3) brothers; Gilbert McCormick, XC McCormick, and Harold McCormick.

      He leaves to cherish his loving memories, (1) daughter; Hope (Terry) Owens of Brussels Belgium, (3) sons; Anthony (Dorothy) McCormick of Elizabethtown, KY, James P. McCormick of Clarkton, NC, and Vincent (Peggy) McCormick of San Antonio, TX, (1) sister; Florence McCormick of Washington DC, (1) brother; Ronnie Smith of Whiteville, NC, (10) grandchildren, (2) great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. And a special niece Ellen Gale Walls.
