Mr. James Lewis Jr.

     On April 2, 2021, our loved one James Robert Lewis Jr. (J.J.) was called to eternal rest. James (J.J) was born on March 29, 1988 in Winston Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina.

     James (J.J) attended the Public School of Robeson County and graduated from Fairmont High School in 2007. James loved fishing, cooking, and listening to music. His favorite sport was football and Dallas Cowboys was his favorite team. James loved people and had a great sense of humor. James  gave his life to Christ Jesus years ago and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. James put up a good fight for life and endured things that most of us could not have survived.

     He was preceded by his maternal grandparents Winifred & Levolia Mumford, his paternal grandmother Lisha May Worley Lewis, his brother Qutian D’Von (Que) Lewis and his uncle William Mumford, aunt Sabrina Able and great aunt, Eloise Toomer.

    He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Timieka Floyd Lewis and one daughter, Cincere Ford of Fairmont, NC; one Godson, Ja’Quan Stackhouse of Lumberton, NC; his father, James Lewis Sr. and his mother, Brenda Lewis of Orrum, NC; one brother, Tyrell Oxendine of Lumberton, NC; his mother-in-law, Lachardon (Christopher) Moore of Fairmont, NC; two sisters-in-law, Timiya Floyd of Fairmont, NC. and Brittany Lewis of Lumberton, NC; two brothers-in-law, Reginald McCormick of Fairmont, NC; and Saiquan Gaddy of Fairmont, NC; six aunts: Reshelle Gainor of Georgia; Lisa (Derrick) Arnette, Monick Winiford Adams, Sheria Mumford, Carolyn (Gordon) Cummings, and Cynthia (Rodney) Searcy; eight uncles: Tyrone (Samantha) Watson of Fairmont, NC; Lee (Coretta) Lewis, John Lewis, Stephen (Joyce) Carter, Dennis (Erica) Lewis, Jimmy (Leticia) Lewis, Cedric (Stephanie) Williams; four great aunts: Alice(Joiners) Cadestin of Lumberton, NC; Eloise (Holland) Toomer of Westbury, NY; Beatrice Lewis of Mullins, SC; and Carnell Lewis of Westbury, NY; one great great aunt: Dorothy Taylor of Fairmont, NC; one great uncle Robert (Gail) Blue of Fairmont, NC; two special brothers, Kendrick Lowery and Josiah Mumford; three special nieces; Shimyah Ferguson, Asia Lewis and Zamyira Rollins; four special nephews: Jamar Gaddy, Michael Ferguson, Caleb Leggett, and Zamir Hardin, host of special cousins, other relatives and friend.
