He traveled all over the world with his dream come true. The love he possessed for his wife and children was unconditional. James placed his trust in God and his family, never wavering to take care of those he loved. After serving his country he was honorable discharged from the Army. He went to Meadville, Pennsylvania. He returned to Lumberton and began settling down. He became a devoted member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church and an outstanding Masonic member. He was faithful until his death.
