Mr. James B. Brown

     James P. Brown, son of the late James D, and Bernice Edward Brown was born on December 25, 1953 and departed this earthly life on April 29, 2020.

     James Purcell Brown will be remembered for many things, but what stands out most was kindness and gentle nature. His love for God and gathering with family and friends making memories. James had a eye for fashion. He had a style of his own. His collection of stylist hats and dress shoes was proof positive of that swagger. James was not a complicated man.  He enjoyed the pure simple things of life and was willing to lend a helping hand or brighten the spirits of others if he felt they needed lifting. And he have received recognition for going above and beyond on many occasions at the Ochsner Hospital where he was employed. Affectionally known among those hallowed halls as “Mr. Brown”. He had a passion for nature and the great outdoors. His love for gardening and working the soil lead to the creation of beautiful flower gardens and growing food for his family. He was a natural and nurturing people and earthly things.

     He was preceded in death by his brother, David A. Brown and two sisters, Wanda B. Clark and Geraldine Brown.

    Purcell leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Sherry S. Brown of Belle Chasse Louisiana, a son, Antron Jones Of Fairbanks, Alaska, three sisters, Shirley (Roy) Harper, Mary C. Johnson, Ardalia Brown all of Fairmont, NC two brothers, Calvin Brown and Fredrick D. Brown, five grandchildren Kya, Kanee, Diamond, Zakaria and Zaiden, three great grands, Damien Marcus and Zy a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
