Mr. Jack Rogers

     Mr. Jack Rogers was born on April 27, 1949, to the late Kelly Rogers Sr. and late Doris Rogers. He departed this earthly life on June 24, 2024 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

    Jack graduated from Proctorville High School in 1967. Jack was employed at Alamac Knitting for 35 years. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing and eating fish along with his wife of 44 years. They were married June 28, 1980. Jack was also a member of Ohovia AME Church where Pastor Derrick Farmer was the pastor. He was also a member of Minter’s Chapel in Boardman. Jack was also a member of the Olive Branch Lodge #93 of Rowland, NC. He also loved singing. His favorite song was Your Grace And Mercy. He sang with Southern Six of Rowland along with Quartet Groups and also Minters Chapel Male Group.

     In addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Roseboro and Dorothy Jean Rogers, two brothers, Cleveland and David K. Rogers, his in-laws, Wilbert and Mary Lee McQueen, two sisters-in-laws, Mary McCollum and Helen McLellan, two brothers-in-law, William Henry McQueen and James McLellan.

     He leaves to mourn his precious memories, his wife of forty-four years, Patricia Marie McQueen Rogers of the home, Goddaughter, Kisha Rogers of Lumberton, four brothers, Clark (Evelen) Rogers of Marietta, NC, Kelly (Minister Patsy) Rogers of Lumberton, NC, Bishop Roy (Pastor Madaline) Rogers of Lumberton, NC and Kenny (Marie) Rogers of Maxton, NC, two sisters, Mother Ann Rogers of Orrum, NC and Dr. Linda Rogers of Fayetteville, NC, five sister-in-law's, Mary Ann (John Albert Sr.) Moody and Margaretta (Isaac) Ford both of Philadelphia, PA, Barbara Jean McQueen of Lumberton, NC and Etta Mae Rogers and Delphine Christine McQueen both of Fairmont, NC, one brother-in-law, Archie McCollum of Dillon, SC, special niece, Sandra “Poochie” Rogers, special nephews, James McQueen and Timothy Ellerbee, two good friends, Junior Powell known as Bo Pete of Lumberton and Walter Hanyes, his best neighbor of Fairmont, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
