Mr. Ivey Ronald Williams

Ivey Ronald Williams, born 22 December 1954 to the late Ivey (R.T) and Earline Smith Williams.  Ronald departed this life on Thursday morning, 18 June 2026 at Genesis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pembroke, North Carolina after some health complication.

 Ronald is a graduate of Fairmont High School, class of 1973.   After graduation, he attended UNC Charlotte where he studied Radiology.  He also attended Whiteville community college where he studied law-enforcement.  Ronald spent over 20-yrs in law enforcement in Robeson County where he served as Deputy Sheriff and Safety Resource Officer (SRO) at Fairmont High School.  He also served with the Fairmont Police and Lumberton Police departments.

Ronald joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist church at an early age.  He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Fay French who was married for over 40-yrs. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, James Williams, Lee Sterling Williams and Glenn Franklin Williams. 

He leaves to morn four sons, Galloway Brown (Deborah) of Fayetteville, Kenyatta French of Wilmington, NC, Craig Williams, Christopher Williams, all of Robeson County.   He has eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He also leaves to morn is four siblings, Leontine Fulmore, Wilkesboro, PA; Jacqueline Shurl Williams, Bronx, New York, Bruce Williams (Gloria) of Hope Mills, NC; Donald Williams (Valarie) of Hariam, GA, Amelia McLean, Fairmont, NC.

He also leaves to morn his loss are sister-in laws: Jurah Williams, Harlem, New York, Barbara Williams, Fairmont, NC; Vera (Calvin) Bryant of Lumberton, NC, Betty (Shawn) Singletary of Fayetteville, NC, two brother -in laws- Dennis (Vickie) French of Lumberton; James (Myla) French of Las Vegas and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
