Mr. Illinois Blue, son of Wanda E. Blue was born October 8, 1972 in Lumberton, North Carolina. He peacefully transitioned from Earth to Glory on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

“Dean,” as he was affectionately called by family and friends attended the Public Schools of Robeson County and graduated from Fairmont High School in the Class of 1991. He was loved by everyone that he came in contact with, to know him was to love him. You could not be around him without laughing the entire time. Dean was a Dallas Cowboy Super Fan along with “his” North Carolina Tar Heels. He also enjoyed playing spades and throwing horseshoes.

Two sisters: Wanda “Von” Blue and Lisa McQueen (Dajuan); and a brother, Donald Blue; one sister-in-law: Millicent Leonard. Nieces: Jasmine, Arabia, Kaleia, Areona, Sequoia, Dalasia, Antana, and Mary. Nephews: Deshawn, Tishawn, Brandon, De`Andre, Antonio, Jaiden, Bleu. Aunts: Joyce Moore, Carolyn Moody (Stanley), Janice Blue, Amanda Powell (Randy) and two uncles: James Blue (Brenda) and Paul Blue and a host of family and friends.
