Mr. Ethan Josiah Brown, 15, of Lumberton transitioned from time to eternal peace on July 30, 2023.
Ethan was born in Lumberton, NC on October 30, 2007. He was raised by his mother alongside his older brother. At an early age, teachers recognized Ethan's academic excellence and kind nature.
Over the years he was involved in various activities including the Beta Club, Battle of the Books, Robotics Team, Art Club and National Read Across America. He was placed in the AIG program at Rowland Norment Elementary School and continued to excel academically at Carroll Middle School and Lumberton Jr. High School.
His passion for trains, cars and robotics began at an early age leading him to join the Technology Club at Lumberton Jr. and participate in the Future City competition. His academic excellence afforded him the opportunity to attend Robeson County Early College High School. At Robeson County Early College High School, Ethan was involved in the Robotics Club and his aspiration was to be an Aerospace Engineer. Ethan believed in helping anyone in need and performed numerous hours of community service outside of his required Beta Club hours.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Jane Thompson, grandfather James Willie Pipkins, and uncle James Anthony Pipkins.
He leaves to mourn his mother, Stethane Veronica Pipkins, his brother Cameron Alexander Dammons, Aunts: Beverly Singletary, Angela R. Jones (James), Vaden V. Little (Ricky), Uncles: Antonio Thompson (Chrystal), William Freeman (Vercelia), Sheldon Banks (Elizabeth), Tito Nealy (Melinda), David Thompson(Lena), Honorary Godparents: Darryl & Gwen McKiver, Honorary Aunt & Uncles: Jackie Lacy, Vincent & Michael Thomas, Special Friends: Cadence Jacobs, Messiah, London & Nala Dunlap, Sybastin Kene Thomas, Mr. Alvin Breeden, Ms. Emma Anderson, and a host of other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. The family wishes to thank all friends and loved ones that have called and visited during this time.
