Mr. Douglas McGougan

     Douglas McGougan was born on October 24, 1950 to the late Booker T. and Nettie Jane McGougan in Raeford, NC. On Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 6:40 pm our father Douglas McGougan answered his call to journey home at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
     Douglas worked at Tarheel Turkey Hatchery for 20 plus years.
and the House of Raeford in Raeford, NC where he retired. He was educated in the Hoke County School System.
     He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend to many. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
     He was preceded in death by his friend Gladys Smith, three brothers (Pete, Eddie, Odell) and one sister, (Mary)
     He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Tonya R. Purdie of Fayetteville, NC, one son, Eric L. McGougan (Lakisha) of Lumber Bridge, NC, one step son, Everett Lee Leach of Fayetteville, NC, two sisters, Nettie and Sarah McGougan of Raeford, NC, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
