Mr. Donald Taylor Tribute

      Mr. Donald Ray Taylor, 61 of Bridgeport CT, formerly of Fairmont, passed away on September 23, 2024. 

     61 years ago, Donald Ray Taylor was born the youngest of seven (7) children to John Charles Taylor and Margie Nell Williams. Then, grew to be a man of many roles of which he thrived in both professional and personal.  Donald was a husband, son, brother, God brother, father, God-father, grandfather, uncle, mentor and friend to many. Donald was the supervisor for the City of Bridgeport B.O.E. for 20 years. He was loved by many at the school for his mentorship and great example to the children. To his colleagues, he was a leader and hard worker that expressed kindness to all. To his family, he was a provider and friends, a giver. As a Christian man, if anyone had a need he was going to help, to problems he was going to fix it. Anyone that knew him could attest that he would open heart and his home to them, showing compassionate and attentiveness to their needs.

Donald and his wife and companion, Hope shared almost 40 years of love, laughter, family and friends. Their love for the Most High, worshiping and sharing His (God’s) Word was something they strived for with daughters Faith, Joy, Starr and Melody as they raised their children in the church.  Donald has truly made his mark and will be sorely missed.

Donald Ieaves to cherish his memory his wife Hope Taylor, his daughters Starr, Melody, Joy and Faith, his sons TayQwan and Donald Jr., His mother Margie Nell Taylor, his sister Vickie (Thomas), brothers Roy Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Charles Taylor and sister, Doreen McNeil (Clarence) also a bevy of  nieces, nephews, grandchildren and godchildren; Taylor, Joshua, Jackson, Toneria, Daphne, Aaron, Jr., Candace, Moe, Jasmine, Drew and many, many others.

Donald transitioned to be with his father John Charles, (JC) Taylor, Brother Troy Taylor, Nephew Dontay Taylor & Grandson Jerimiah Crawley.
