Dennis J. Brown, son of the late James David and Bernice Edwards Brown was born on march 25, 1958 and departed this earthly life on July 4, 2021.
Dennis, Dee Brown, Deac, Dink, all of these refer to the brother being memorialized today. He shared so much of himself with so many others that all these names were necessary. Dennis was an outgoing, rather mischievous lad and it carried over into his adult life. If you knew him, you know that he could and would spin a web with the best of them. Like all the Brown brothers, Dennis represented well on the basketball court and was never shy about scolding you as he schooled you. Dennis and his son Jarvell frequented the swamps and rivers of Robeson and neighboring counties and would tell you he never met a fish he couldn’t master. He also enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with family an friends, particularly his grandchildren. Dennis had a heart of gold, if he had a heart of gold, if he had it when you needed you got it., that simple. Dennis also had a serious side , he loved to call , always facetime and talk slowly and deliberately, about life in general. While he never professed to be scholar he had a certain air of practically that gave merit to his opinion. Over the years Dennis made sure to stay in touch with those he cared about, and was quick to let one know, in no uncertain terms.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David A. Brown and James P. Brown, two sisters, Wanda B. Clark and Geraldine Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Donna Brown of the home, one son, Jarvell (Charmine Brown of Hope Mills, NC two daughters, Bernice (Terell) Stackhouse of Fairmont, NC, Lakisha (Jeffery) Hicks of Fayetteville, NC three sisters, Shirley (Roy) Harper, Mary C.
