Deavon Dashon Maultsby was born in Robeson County on September 22 nd , 1995 to
Shonda Lyons and Matthew Maultsby. Webbie departed this earthly life on Monday,
April 1, 2024.
He was preceded in death by: Nizzie Grant, Clarence Grant, Carolyn Lyons and Samuel
Lyons his great grandparents and his grandfather, Ray Maultsby.
Deavon, commonly known as Webbie, he was a well known individual throughout
Robeson County. Webbie attended Lumberton High School. He was an entrepreneur,
always figuring out a way to thrive. Webbie was the oldest of his siblings and was
known to be a family man, always looking out for those around him. You could always
find Webbie out in the country; he was never afraid to get his hands dirty. He was never
a quitter, always looking for a challenge. He was a motivator, always pushing the
people around him to be better.
Webbie leaves behind memories and life to his three children: Maliya, Kaden and Nova.
His mother and father, Shonda Lyons and Matthew Maultsby. His brothers: Kevarius
Lyons and Zyeim Maultsby and his sisters; Ahmya and Nakiyha Lyons. His
grandparents: Earl Ray Grant and Sheila Lyons-Maultsby and Carolyn Guions. Uncles:
Ahmad Lyons, and Nate Maultsby. His aunt, Latoya Adams and his great aunts: Patricia
Grant-Sinclair, Linda Grant, Neicy Walters, and Matasha McIver. His great uncles:
Sammy Lyons, Billy McNeil (Foot and Ida McNeil). A special great great aunt, Maggie
Grant and uncle, Robert Grant (brother and sister) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins
and friends. Webbie will continue to live on in our hearts.
