Mr. David Earl Wright

    Mr. David Wright was born to the late Cora Lee King and Wisdom Wright on March 3,1954, in Robeson County, North Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on August 2, 2023. David attended Proctorville Elementary School and Or rum High school, and later became a Sanitation worker for the Town of Fairmont for years until retirement. David be came a member of Mill Branch Church under Rev Ford, where he was able to sing his praises in the choir. He took pride in his appearance and would get dressed up in his suits and hats and begin his walk to church every Sunday. David loved singing, music, dressing in his best threads, his cow boy hats and boots, horses, dogs and chickens. He was the life of the party and lit up every room he entered. He had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off his back even if that meant he went without. His laugh was infectious and would make you chuckle for hours. David was the kind of man you only met once in a lifetime and was happy you did. The family would like to give a special thanks to some spe cial friends who were like family and very instrumental in the care of our loved one in his late days. Whether it was cooking him a meal, making sure his dogs and chickens were fed, or Just being there for him in our absence.     David was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister, Coral Lee King, Wisdom Wright, Shirley Wright, James Wright, Freddy Wright and William Wright,one neph ew, Wilburt McDonald Jr., three brother-in-laws, Dwight, Joseph Randolph and Thomas Long Sr.

   He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Jack Baldwin (Fairmont, NC) Rahsaan Evans (Lumberton, NC) A daughter, Aneetra Rogers (Indian trail, NC) four sisters, Mary Wright (Fairmont, NC), Delois Randolph (Newark, NJ), Annie Pate (Barry) (Newark, NJ), and Zellamie Wright eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces, great nieces and other relatives and friends
