Mr. David Ronald Jennings

     David “Ron” Jennings was born on April 3, 1953 to the late    Beatrice (Bryant) Jennings and Wash Jennings in Lumberton, NC.    He departed this life on December 28, 2020 at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

     David was united in holy matrimony to Jennifer R. Jennings.  David went to the Public Schools Of Robeson County. He later received his GED. He worked at a few locations around Robeson County, where he later owned his own car detail shop, “Captains Car Wash”. He was also known as the limo man known as a entrepreneur for many years.

     David was well loved and loved lots. He always showed love to those around near and far. His presence could always be felt when he entered a room. “The Captain”. He never sugar coated his opinion on anything and always had a story or word of encouragement to get or keep you on track. To know him was to love and respect him as a man. He took pleasure in crossword puzzles and good western books. He loved to travel and he loved the woman. He was a Cowboys fan to the end who showed love to all. He was a great brother, father, uncle cousin and friend “ The Captain”.

     He was preceded in death by two brothers, Corneluis “Cartoon”  Jennings and Washington Jennings Jr.

     He leaves to cherish his fond memories, five children, Tonya R. Williams of Bladenboro, NC, Nathaniel J. Williamson of Lumberton, NC; NeAngela L. Brown of St. Pauls, NC, Caron D. Jennings of the home, TyHeem D. Martin and special daughter, Keshawna Campbell of Lumberton, NC, five grandchildren, one sister, Debra Cain of Lumberton, three brothers, Walter G. Jennings (Darlenea) Newport News VA, LeeVander G. West (Carrol) of Lumberton, NC and Terry W. Jennings (Sunshine) of Lumberton, NC and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. There were some that was closer than close you know who you are.
