Mr. Darren Jones

     Darren Jones was born March 25, 1966 to Richard & Geraldin Jones in Newark, NJ. He attended Peshine Ave. Elementary School and Weequachie High School where he was an amazing football player as a titan end and nickel back. He was awarded a full scholarship to Bowie State for football. Throughout his adolescent years he also attended K K system School Martial Arts in 1990. Darren met his future wife, Yvette (Jones) and in 1999 they was married. In 2005 they relocated to Fairmont, NC where he was a police officer, then promoted to detective. God called Darren home July 1, 2023 while at UNC Health Southeastern receiving treatment.

     He leaves behind his wife of twenty three years, Yvette Jones, four kids, Bianca Cruz, (Luis), Shante McClease, Shakia Wescott (Ramier Wescott) and Darren Richard Jones Jr., two honorary sons, Tristan Brooks, Jeremiah Jones, seven grandkids whom he loved with all his heart, one brother, Rick Willis, one sister, Rita Edwards, a long with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
