It's with sadness and sorrow we officially announce the transition of Mr. Darrell Tyron Davis Jr. 17 of Fairmont. He transitioned from time to eternal rest on December 2, 2025.
Mr. Darrell Tyron Davis Jr. (DJ), 17, of Fairmont, NC transitioned at UNC Health Southeastern on December 2, 2025.
He was born in Lumberton, NC March 1, 2008 to his parents, Latoya Shanell Floyd and Darrell Davis. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was the big man of the house. He was a protector and took care of his mother and siblings. Darrell was a senior at Penn Foster University, graduating March 2026. Darrell Davis Jr. will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm smile, and his dedication to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Davis, aunt, Diana Davis, and grandfather, Lonnie McRae.
He is survived by his mother, Latoya Shanell Floyd of Fairmont, NC; father, Darrell Tyron Davis from Mobile, AL; brother, Ny’mari Davis and sister Andraya Manning of the home, paternal grandfather, Bruce Stanley Davis and Maternal grandmother, Sheila Floyd Roberts. He had friends that were like sisters and brothers, Shamya Manning, Dreshawn Manning and Ja’Darius Brown, his special cousins here, Jatoya Mclean, Amiyah Mclean, Kaziyah Mclean, Tayvon (Jada) Powell, Destanasia Davis, Geneya Lesane, Akaya Davis, Aaliyah Davis, Nytasia Lesane, Ariah Davis, Landon Courmon, Alijah Powell, and his best friends, Travis Vandroff II and Stephen Smith, and other relatives and friends.
DJ will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and loving personality. We will forever cherish him in our hearts.
