Charles Eugene Saulters, son of the late Mary and Vandalia Saulters and the late Noffie Salters Sr. was born July 2, 1954.
Charles attended W.H. Knuckles Elementary School and South Lumberton Junior High and South Lumberton Senior High. He attended Robeson Community College, then He started Driving Long Haul. After which he joined The United States Army where he retired. Then he was a long truck driver for over 30 years stopping to take care of his wife.
Charles was preceded in death by his mothers, Mary & Vandalia Salters and his father, Noffie Salters Sr., a daughter, Corenna Saulters, one son, Charles Saulters Jr., three sisters, Ella Louise Payne, Annie Ruth Lee and Lucille McLaughlin, three brothers, William Henry Floyd, James Bryant and William Bryant, beloved in laws, Cornell McLaughlin and James Payne.
On February 25 in the morning Charles fell asleep to get his rest.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife, Barbara Saulters, a daughter, Phyallan Saulters of Massachusetts, a brother, Noffie Salters (Dorothy), a sister, Sadie Graham of Lumberton, NC, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
