Mr. Ceaser McLean Tribute

Deacon Ceaser L. McLean was born on January 28, 1956, to Ceaser Bidel McLean
and Rudatrice Scott McLean. His earthly journey ended Friday, May 29, 2026,
surrounded by his family.

Deacon McLean graduated from Littlefield High School; he attended college for a
while before making the decision to join the Navy in November 1977. Unfortunately,
his naval career was cut short due to an injury, and he was honorably discharged in
April 1983 with the rank of IC3. After serving in the military, Ceaser went on to have
a diverse career, working for the Census Bureau, various manufacturing jobs, he
worked with the Robeson County Planning and Zoning until his health declined.

Deacon McLean was a devoted member and active servant of First Baptist Church,
where he served as an usher in the Men’s Department, and was part of the
Watchman’s Ministry, and Laymen League Ministry and ultimately ordained as a
Deacon on September 10, 2023.

Deacon McLean loved sports, especially his favorite team, Duke! He loved spending
time at the beach with his wife, and game nights with his family. His wife, Phyllis,
will surely miss their weekend joyrides.

Deacon McLean was preceded in death by his Aunt, Mrs. Geneva M. Gillis, his
parents Mr. Ceaser Bidel McLean & Ms. Rudatrice Scott McLean, his brothers
Gregory McLean and Robert McLean.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 15 years, Phyllis Chatman McLean; his children
Tonya Collins (Lamont), Jada Boardraye (Antiouse) and Jalen Tre McCall, his
grandchildren ShaQuoyia Collins & Ashtyn Boardraye. His siblings, Felicia
McLean, Jacquelyn Henry, Rufus McLean (Vilene), Terrance McLean, Thomas
McLean, Jeff Faulk (Vanessa), Michael McLean, Marcus McLean, Shelton Banks
(Liz), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. His three best
friends Clyde McMillan, Freddie Sinclair and Eugene Campbell (RIP).
