Mr. Billy Mitchell

Mr. Billy Mitchell, 74 of Fairmont NC, passed away on May 13, 2022.  Billy  better known as “Steel Bill” was born on February 26, 1948 to Willie Mae Mitchell and Leander Mitchell in Lumberton, NC. He was raised in Virginia Beach, VA. He attended Bayside High School. He liked singing, fishing and traveling. He made many friends and attended Straightway Deliverance Church where he was under the leadership of Pastor Rosa Smith.       
     He is preceded in death by his parents, Leander Mitchell and Willie Mae Ashley.
     He leaves to cherish his loving memory, one daughter, four sisters, Marcia Russell of Norfolk, VA, Donna Rowe of California, Michelle Mitchell of Fayetteville, NC, Sharon Smith of Florida and Big Sister, Pastor Rosa Smith of Lumberton, two brothers, Alexander Chemy and Mike Mitchell of Norfolk, VA, special cousins, Brenda G. Clark, Taisha Clark and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved him so much.
