Mr. Bernice Andrew Smith

     Bernice Andrew Smith , son of the late Burnice and Ethell Lee Smith was born February 31, 1957. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday , May 31, 2022, God called Burnice Andrew Smith home. Bernice, AKA "Meter" attended Minter's Chapel First Born Church at a young age. Graduated West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo, NC. Bernice loved being outside hunting and fishing. He was always a happy person and loved helping others. He never met a stranger. He loved his community "Boardman" where he knew everyone.

     Bernice had a lot of friends and when you met him he would always make you laugh and have fun.

     Bernice/Meter was predeceased by his parents Burnice and Ethell Lee Smith. His Brothers Johnny, David, and Isiah Smith. His Sister Annie Lee Simons. His Nephews Thurston Smith and Jason Bellamy.

    Bernice/Meter will also be fondly remembered by his siblings Beverlyn E Smith (Whiteville, NC), Tanzie Smith, Geneva Smith Utley (Jarvis), Samuel Smith (Ladonna) Aunt Lendell Bullock (Dwight) all of Lumberton, NC Bernice/Meter will also be missed by the town of Boardman. He had a host of family and friends. Hunting Buddy Brantley Barns, Brother David Hardie, Big brother Leon Williamson, Big sister Margrate McMillian, and Special friend Kimberly Williamson.
