Aaron Hyman, was the third child born to the late Esther Lee and McArthur Hyman, on February 12, 1965 in Whiteville, NC. He completed his Earthly journey on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at UNC-Southeastern Health in Lumberton, NC, just three days shy of his 60th birthday.
Aaron was raised in the Marietta Community. He was educated in the Fairmont City Schools School System, which later became the Public Schools of Robeson County, graduating from Fairmont High School in 1983. After high school, Aaron spent a few years working in healthcare before pursuing a career in construction. In his latter years, Aaron spent his time working odds and ends jobs, helping out where he could in the Marietta Community. Aaron was married to the former Carolyn Roberts of Fairmont.
Along with his parents, Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Flora and Lonnie “Dock” McNeil; paternal grandparents Rebecca and Willie Hyman; aunts Annie Mae Gillard, Helen Friday, and Estella McNeil; uncles John L. McNeil and Lonnie McNeil; and a special friend Rosie Powell.
Left to cherish Aaron’s memories are his children: Dasarea Hyman of Clemmons, NC, Kenyatta Lowery of Durham, NC, Aaron Hyman, Jr. and Jehnquetta Hyman both of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren: Khari, Nylana, and Damier Hyman and Kylei, Kynlesi, and Kyle Boyd. His siblings Cynthia Carmichael of Hartsville, SC, Darrean (Barbara) Hyman of Fairmont, NC, Aliceson Hyman of the home, and Michael (Tonya) Hyman, Sr. of Winston-Salem, NC; aunts Dorothy Mae Ford, Willie Mae Grissett and Louvenia Jones all of Fairmont, NC, Rebecca Hyman-Faggert of Mocksville, NC and Vicky Hyman of Salisbury, NC; uncle Willie Edward Hyman of Salisbury, NC, Willie Earl Grissett and Amos Ford both of Fairmont, NC. Aaron also leaves behind his first cousins who were like his siblings: Wendy, Barbara, Corey, and Tonya; his nieces Tawana, LaTanya, Stephanie, Pretoria, Mytia, Onyesti and Taylor; nephews Michael Jr., Isaiah, Dorian, Nishique, Marquise, Messiah, and TJ. Special cousins Sharon, Sheneka, Tyesta, Montreal, Alshaquan, and Dreyvon; the mother of his eldest son Angela Lowery; special friend Vann Arnette; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
