Erma Lee (Stackhouse) Bethea

August 10, 1947 ~ January 30, 2022 (age 74)


     Evangelist Erma Lee Stackhouse Bethea, age 74 was born August 10, 1947 to the late Herman Lee Stackhouse and Elizabeth Stackhouse. She departed this life and entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2022 in Lumberton, NC
     Erma received her education from Columbus County public schools. Erma was a woman of faith who loved the Lord and her children, she was a giving woman. Erma took up sawing and made a career out of it until she decided to focus on her children more and became a home maker. She made sure her children had the best that she could give them.
Erma confessed to Christ at an early age becoming an Evangelist later on in her life. Before becoming ill Evangalist Bethea did missionary work taking care of those who needed her assistance and passing on the word of God.
     Erma was preceded in death by her stepmother Shirley Harley Stackhouse. Two Brothers Johnny Frank Harley and Herman Pete Stackhouse.
     Erma leaves to cherish her precious memories to her beloved children Loretta Edwards of Richmond VA, Cleveland Bethea of Frankfort, KY, Maria Bethea of Lumberton NC, Clarisa Bethea of Charlotte NC and Yevette Moore of Lumberton, NC. One brother Alan D. Stackhouse (Martha), Hinesville, GA, four sisters Thelma Carey, Mullins SC; Gloria Brown, Whiteville NC; Shirley Martin, Fayetteville, NC, and Juanita Stackhouse, Whiteville, NC.
Fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
