Pastor Dr. Danny Blue was born to the late Mable McDowell Blue on June 25, 1966. He transitioned from time to eternal peace on September 8, 2021 at UNC Health-Southeastern.
As as a young boy Danny attended Ebenezer Baptist Church with his mother and siblings. He was raised in the Old field neighborhood of Fairmont and attended the Public Schools of Robeson County where he graduated from Fairmont High School.
Danny was not afraid to see what the world had to offer him and during his time of exploring he earned his Doctor of Divinity degree from the Theological School in Chattanooga in Tennessee in 2002. He was a man who loved the word of God and didn’t mind ministering to anyone at anytime. He was an ordained minister under the leadership of the late Dr. Martine Spencer. He was the pastor of many churches and the found of True People Of God World Ministries in Charlotte, NC.
Danny was the definition of what you call a true Blue. He loved his entire family and enjoyed all occasions that they spent together while he made everyone laugh with all his jokes, raps and stories.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mable, two sisters, Shirley McDowell and Tennie Nealy and a brother, Linwood Blue.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Danny Lee Blue II, a grandson, Danny Lee Blue III, and a granddaughter, Da’Niya Lashay Blue of Pembroke, NC, two brothers, James (Brenda) Blue of Fairmont, NC and Paul Blue of Charlotte, NC; five sisters, Amanda (Randy) Powell of Charlotte, NC, Joyce Moore of Lumberton, NC Wanda Blue, Janice Blue and Carolyn (Stanley) Moody all of Fairmont, NC, five aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
