Sarah Huggins, 79, of Fairmont transitioned from time to eternal peace on April 23, 2019.
Sister Sarah Blanche Mitchell Huggins was born in Columbus County on
October 3, 1939 and was reared by the Late Geneva and Alex Granger.
Sarah better known as "Blanche" accepted Christ in her life at an early age
and joined Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
Blanche was married to the late Clyde Junior Huggins and to this union no
children were born. She and her husband moved to Syracuse New York.
While there, she worked for a pharmaceutical company making Insulin
Syringes until her retirement. Upon retirement, Blanche relocated back
to Fairmont, NC. Blanche loved to work and began employment with
Mount Olive Family Care Home in Fairmont for over twenty years.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Star until her health
failed. She served on the Usher Board, Nurse's Aide and church choir.
Blanche loved helping others and was willing to serve where ever she was
needed.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Junior Huggins;
parents, Geneva and Alex Granger, and brother; Pearlie Carrigan.
Blanche leaves to cherish her loving memories; a devoted godson, Lamont
(Snapper) Bullock of Dillon, S.C.; and his five children; two special cousins
who were more like sisters; Daisy Bullock and Rose Grice of Dillon, S.C.;
two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; special friends; Patty Campbell,
Joan Spruill and Vicky L. McKoy. Three special cousins; Carl Bullock, David
Bullock and Mack Bullock, and numerous relatives, friends and church
family.
