Mrs. Sada (Sadie) Lou Byrd Floyd was born to the late Furman and Bell S. Byrd on July 2, 1941.
Mrs. Sada grew up in Robeson County and she attended Proctorville High School in Proctorville, NC. Sada moved to New York in 1959 but returned to North Carolina after ten years. During this time Sada worked tirelessly in the domestic field. In 1970, Sister Sada gave her life to Christ and joined Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church. She was a faithful member until her health began to fail.
In 1985 Sister Sada was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Fred Floyd Jr. ‘Through sickness and Health” her illness declined more which led to her rest home stay. For seven years and four months , her devoted husband stayed right by her side everyday except for three days…” Till death do us part.’
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Cora L. McRay and Lillie Mae Byrden and two brothers, Robert (Bob) Byrd and Booker T. Byrd.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of forty seven years, Fred Floyd Jr. of the home, a very special niece, Teresa Inman (Bill) of Fairmont, NC; two sisters, Mary Ruth Nealy (Wayne) and Janice Byrd both of Fairmont, NC; two brother-in-law's, Randolph Floyd of the home and Norman (Mazie) Floyd of Fairmont, NC; three sister-in-law’s, Magdalene McRae, Patsy Sheridan and Gail (Donald) Turner all of Fairmont, NC and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
