Ms. Martha Rean Dudley

     Ms. Martha Rean Dudley, better known as Mickey, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis and Bradley Dudley, was born April 18, 1941 in Orrum, NC. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of First Orrum Missionary Baptist Church.

     Mickey worked twenty plus years at the Fairmont Knitting Mill and many years at Howard and Haggins in Fairmont. She had a love of the outdoors. Fishing, gardening, and relaxing on her front porch were a few of her favorite things to do. Most of all she loved to laugh. One of her greatest loves was that of her one and only child, her son, James “Ruddy” Dudley. Mickey loved her son dearly. As her illness progressed, he was a dedicated caretaker whom she depended on greatly.

     On Friday, November 8, 2019 Mickey peacefully departed this life surrounded by her loving family. She was proceeded in death by two sisters Sylvia Govan and Sue Barfield; three brothers George Dudley, Liston Dudley, and Curtis Dudley Jr.; and a special friend Mr. Earnest Burnette “Bo”.

     Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her son, James Dudley, of Orrum, NC; two sisters Erma Wooten and Margaret Bellamy, all of Orrum, NC; three granddaughters Letongie Williams of Orrum, NC, Cecelia Moody of Fairmont NC, and Kyndra Dudley of Waldorf, MD; Five Great-Grandsons Jaquan Moore, Jarique Moore, Jahkeem Moore, Elijah Hinson, and J’Quan Hinson. Two Great-Great-Grandsons Jayceon Hunt-Hinson and Jayden Hunt Hinson; a special daughter in love Sonya Ford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and community friends.
