Ms. Jalisa Nicole Jones

  Ms. Jalisa Nicole Jones, daughter of the late Mr. Linwood D. Jones (OC) and Mrs. Angela Jenkins Jones was born October 24, 1992 in Robeson County, North Carolina. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in Gastonia, North Carolina.

     Jalisa graduated from Purnell Sweat High School in 2011 and was currently a student at Strayer University in Charlotte, NC.

     Jalisa was affectionately known throughout the community and was a fun loving people person. She found humor in every task and or situation. She never met a stranger and was happy go lucky almost all of the time.

     She preceded in death by her father Linwood D. Jones, her maternal grandparents, Mr. William Moody and Ms. Wilhelemenia Neal, paternal grandparents, Mr. S.J. Jones and Mrs. Essie Lee Jones, three aunts, Alice (Skeet) Leggett, Nora Jones, and Essie McDonald, two uncles, Wendell (Johnny) Jones, and Lucious (Luke) Jones.

     Left to cherish her fond memories are, her daughter, De’miyah Shankera Jones, her mother, Mrs. Angela Jenkins Jones both of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Ammari S. Jones and Lekisha Moody both of Charlotte, NC; four aunts, Lakishia Neal of Fairmont, NC, Jacqueline Neal of Charlotte, NC; Julia Watson of Fairmont, NC and Margie (Staley) Jackson of Lumberton, NC; Uncles, Curtis (Kathleen) Jones of Fairmont, NC and Al Jones of Raleigh, NC; great aunts, Barbara (Darren) Hyman, Rosie Moody and Christine Cutler all of Fairmont, NC; Annie Moody and Sally Moody both of Hope Mills, NC; Betty (Samuel) Baldwin of Whiteville, NC Rose Jenkins of Lumberton, NC Lorene (Linwood) Stephens of Fairmont, NC; Janie Malloy and Mary Stephens of Fairmont, NC; great uncles, Willie Jenkins of Fairmont, NC, Robert Jenkins of Lumberton, NC, Samuel (Pat) Jenkins of Durham, NC; William Jenkins of Fairmont, NC; Lawrence (Vernell) Jenkins of Lumberton, NC; Archie Jenkins of Fairmont, NC Bobby Moody and Jack (Frances) Moody, special nieces, Jordyn Nicole Jones, Markashia Bates, Special nephews, Jonquaris Moody and Rikki Walker Jr., special friends, Veneika Wilson, Ciara Munn and Keilan Gilmore and a host of other relatives and friends.
