Ms. Deborah Ann Ellis was born on July 7, 1958 to the late Mack Williams Jr. and Esther Mae Nealy. Deborah departed her life on September 29, 2018 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton, NC.
Deborah graduated from Orrum High School in 1976 and began her journey of life. She worked at Kasyer Roth for several years and later worked in healthcare until her health failed.
Deborah was loved by many, and gained the nicknames Debbie, Shebbie, and Ms. Annie from her siblings and friends. She was the eldest of nine children. She became a mother to her siblings after the passing of their mother. Deborah also helped raise several other children while raising her own. She was known as the go to “Aunt”, that would defend her nieces and nephews from their parents.
Deborah was preceded in death by her father Mack Williams Jr., mother, Esther Mae Nealy, stepfather, James Edward Nealy, and her sister, Linda Faye Williams.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories to her three daughters, Letongie Williams (Jermaine), Ledonnita Ellis (Tony) both of Lumberton, NC; and Yolanda Ellis of Fairmont, NC; one son Drayquan Baldwin and a special friend Alonzo Isabell both of Rowland, NC; four brothers, Kenneth Williams (Mag), and Johnnie Williams both of Charlotte, NC; James Williams (Yolanda) of Raleigh, NC; and Gregory Williams (Shirell) of Greensboro, NC; three sisters, Marie Williams of Fairmont, NC; Mary Williams (Matthew) and Nettie Williams both of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, Jaquan Moore, of Baltimore, Jahkee, Moore, Jarique Moore, D’Torian Powell, Deborian Powell, and D’sire Powell all of Lumberton, NC; Zion Arnette and Zahara Arnette both of Fairmont, NC; and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.
