Ms. Annie Flowers

     Ms. Annie Flowers, 94, of Fairmont, passed away February 14, 2019
 
     On Thursday February 14, 2019 Mrs. Annie Mae flowers left a legacy  of love when she departed this earthly life at Southern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina.
 
     Annie Mae was the fourth of fourteen children, born to the union of her parents Archie Bristow and Jesse Dudley Bristow. Her four sisters,  Mattie, Martha,Thelma, Maryland, seven brothers Ham, Jasper, John, Paul, John hurbert, Bobby, and Robert, Husbands David and Oscar, two sons Jessie, Preston, and one daughter Rosetta all preceded her in death.
 
     Annie Mae began her christian journey when she confessed her belief and love in christ at an early age. She was baptized and became a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She later joined Mill Branch Baptist Church were she served Faithfully and sang on the vocal choir until her health failed.  Annie Mae was a woman like no other, she was a powerhouse. She was a loving, kind, sensitive, and fiercely devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend to anyone. In a world full of selfish people she truly was one giving of her heart. She never complained. Annie Mae loved GOD and knew him as her personal savior. Our strength comes from knowing that she is with the Lord. We thank GOD that he chose to bless our family with this remarkable woman.
       She leaves to cherish precious memories six daughters, Marylee McCrae, Brooklyn NY, Gearldine Ruffin Irvington NJ, Fannie (Edward) Lee Brooklyn NY, Myrtle (Lawrance) Brayboy of home, Polly (Michael) Page Fairmont NC, and Joyce (Dennis) Jones of Fairmont NC, two sons David (Sarah) Smith Jr. Sumter, SC and Charles Smith Fairmont, NC, two sisters Pauline French Pompano FL, Mary Johnson Brooklyn NY and, daughter-in-law Nancy Smith of Fairmont NC and to a very special friend and caregiver that our mother loved Ms. Ann Hayes. Annie Mae has forty three grandchildren, eighty seven great  grandchildren, sixty three great great grandchildren, and one great, great, great, grand child. And a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
