Mrs. Claudie Mae Walters

     Mrs. Claudie Mae Walters, 95 of Fairmont was born on July 31, 1924 to the late Claude Alridge and late Mary Jane Dawkins in Richmond County. She transitioned from time to eternal peace on December 3, 2019 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton.

     She loved spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening  and fishing. She took care of a lot of people including her grandchildren. She loved to take on stray cats and was a member of Greenville Baptist Church of Lumberton.

     She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, and sisters.

     She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband James Walters of the home, one son, Phillip   Walters of Fairmont, two daughters, Clara Lomax of Atlanta, GA; and Dorothy Walters of Laurinburg, NC; ten grandchildren, James Walters, Corey Walters, Gary Walters, Claudette Walters, Veronica Powell, Alford Perry, Dorothy Baldwin, Evette Dozier, Samira Sellers Wofford, and Sterling Flowers, twenty nine grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
