Mr. Sylvester “Rascal” Jackson was born to the late Kary and Lovenia Williams Jackson on April 23, 1956 in Dillon County. He departed this life on October 21, 2019 at Carlyle Senior Care in Fork, SC.
He was raised in Lake View, SC and attended Lake View Public Schools. He was a devoted member at Poplar Creek Baptist Church in Lake View, SC until his health declined him.
Sylvester was the first employee of Rural Sanitation INC. (RSI) along with the owner Alvin Nobles for 27 years. He was an amazing cook, and you couldn’t find any better barbecue than his, with his signature sauce. Rascal went onto compete in many BBQ cook offs throughout the Pee Dee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Sylvester leaves to cherish his fond memories to two sisters, Narcenia (Larry) Page of Clarkton , NC; Connie (Kenny) Bethea of Fairmont, NC and a host of nieces and nephews, one brother-in-law, Larry Nichols, two aunts, Mary Alice Jenkins of Marietta, NC and Mary Edwards of Cheraw, SC, and a host of other relatives a special thanks to Barbara Reaves, Tonietta Cribb, Jean Archie Baker, and Albert (Buddy) Thompson. A special best friend, Alvin (Eltha) Nobles, whom he referred to as his brother and sister and other friends.
