     Mr. Kevin Lamont Stephens, 29 of Lumberton passed away July 4, 2015. Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Lumberton. Burial willl follow at Elizabeth Heights Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation is Friday July 10, 2015 from 3-6 PM at Worley Mortuary & Cremation Service of Lumberton.

     Mr. Kevin Lamont Stephens, was born on March 17, 1986 in Lumberton, NC to Mr. Jeffery Ray Stephens and the late Ms. Gloria Ann Bethea. Kevin enjoyed life to the fullest. He always kept a big smile on his handsome face, for all who know “Kelbo”, you know he had the biggest gap and he wasn’t ashamed to show it. Kevin embraced and loved everyone he came in contact with. He would always say that family was everything to him, because that’s all he had to live for. Kevin “Kelbo” will be truly missed.

     He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Ann   Bethea, his step-mother, Shirleen Stephens, his niece, Serenity Blount, his grandmother, Emma R. Stephens, his great-grandparents, Howard and Olivia Washington.

     He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Naomi Stephens, Niomi Stephens and Kamori Knight, four sons, Dakarie Mitchell, Daquan Mitchell, Prosperity Stephens and Confident Stephens all of Lumberton, NC; his father, Jeffery Stephens, three sisters, Shakiea Bethea (Joseph), Selena Bethea (Tyrell), Katrina Bethea (James), a step-sister, Angela Whitted, three brothers, Jeffery Bethea, Jamar Graham, and Christopher Bethea all of Lumberton, NC; his grandmother, Emma Washington of Lumberton, NC, five nieces, Nikimana Singletary, Nautica Taylor, Kennedy Bethea, Zanadia Singletary, and Jamiyah Blount, four nephews, Seven Pitchford, Zimear Bethea, Tyrell Taylor Jr. and Jeremiah Blount, seven aunts, Lula Fletcher “MaLula”,    Jennifer Lipmon, Geraldine Gibson, Linda Bethea (Morris), Patricia Purdy, Emma Carter, Helen Stephens, nine uncles, Elliot Stephens (Ell-Bell), Donald Stephens, James E. Bethea, John Kenny Bethea, Willie James Bethea, Larry Bethea, Jerry Washington, Albert Bethea, and James (Chuda)  Bethea,  two god daughters, Keiziya and A’shiya Fletcher of Fayetteville, NC, cousins, Laquanda Bethea, and Joeshawn Taylory and a host of other relatives and friends.
