Mr. Joseph Charles Jones

     Mr. Joseph Jones, 94 of Lumberton transitioned from time to eternity on May 7, 2018 at his home.

     Mr. Joseph C. Jones, the son of the late Alice Jones, the foster son of the late Margret and Thornton G. Humphrey was born in Allendale, South Carolina on July 03, 1923. Joe departed this life on May 07, 2018.

     Joe spent 2 years in the military during WWII. He was a farmer prior to entering the military and returned to farming after separation from the military. During the late 60’s he decided that he would go into roofing on Military facilities. He introduced young men of the community to roofing on these facilities in North Carolina and other states. Joe enjoyed fishing all his life and if there was a spot left at the end of your yard or field he would plant a garden!

     Joe is survived by four daughters, three sons, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
