Mr. James Parnell Scott

     James Parnell Scott entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2018 at
Genesis Rest Home, Pembroke, NC. He was born in Robeson
County, NC on November 24, 1956 to the late James and Ada Scott.
James was a playful child who took delight in telling jokes, and he
loved playing basketball, football, and swimming in the pond with his
family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, and he was also a pretty good
cook.

     James attended Proctorville Elementary School and began working at
an early age doing farm and construction work. He visited a few
churches, including Freewill Baptist Church in Orrum, NC. He spent
several years of his life as a married man, and he established
relationships with his children, by loving them and providing for
them.

     James leaves to cherish fond memories, his children; James
(Jamilliah) Stephens, Sherry Scott, Angela Scott, James P. Scott, Jr.,
Camisha Scott, Amy Scott, and Makayla Scott all of Lumberton, NC;
his step-children: Kakilla Singletary, Brittany Davis, and Kayon Davis
all of Elizabethtown, NC; his siblings: Charles (Alberta) Scott of
Washington, DC, Coreen Scott of Ohio, Jimmy Campbell of Ohio,
apd Letha Scott of Lumberton, NC; fourteen grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; the mothers of his
children; other relatives, and friends.
