Mr. Forrest “John” Inman was born on October 1, 1939 to the late David and Lucille Beatrice Barfield Inman of Lumberton, NC.
He attended Bladen Central High School in Bladenboro, NC. He was a hard worker helping his daddy share crop. He loved to farm, gardening, fishing and playing the piano. When he grew up to man hood he met his wife Frances Hill Inman. They were married on March 16, 1963 and have eight children. Forrest had a great love for music. He loved to sing, he was musically inclined. He provided and took care of his wife and children. He believed in family and he was a giver. If he could help you he would. Forrest loved the piano. He would play that piano and his wife and children would sing. He was called little Sam Cooke. Forrest had a smile that would light up a room. He left this behind in all of his children.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Boyd Inman, David Inman, William Inman, Alene Johnson, Gerine Nance, Helen Jones, Sarah McCormick and Cora Humphrey, sister-in-law's, Daisy Haywood and Albertha McMillan.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Frances Inman, his kids, Wanda of Buies Creek, Rose (Curtis) of Hope Mills, NC; Billy (Teresa) of Fairmont, NC; David of Fairmont, NC; Lucille Beatrice of Lumberton, NC; Francine of Lumberton, NC; John Everett (Renee) of Lumberton, NC; Quintino of Erwin, NC; two sisters, Helen Ripley of Fairmont, NC and Betty Snyder of Lumberton, NC; two sisters-in-laws, Nancy Blackman of Buies Creek, Bertha Lesane of Lillington, NC and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces. nephews and other relatives and friends.
