Ms. Mary Alice Baker, 71, of Fairmont transitioned from time to eternal rest on Feb. 24, 2019.

Mary Alice McMillian Baker beloved Mother,
Grandmother, Sister,Aunt, cousin and friend to so
many went into heavenly rest on Sunday February
24th 2019. Born in Hamlet NC to the late Elwood
McMillian and Christine Roary. Mary attended
Proctorville School and later in life worked as a
domestic working and was a long time manager at the
former Fairmont Clean and Dry Services.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband John
Baker parents Fathers Elwood McMillian, James
Clifton Hill and Mother Christine Roary and son
Daniel Winningham Jr.
Mary leaves to cherish 4 sons Felix Lee
Hill(Pamela)Asheboro Nc, Alphonso Hill (Janice),
Lumberton Nc, Demorris Winningham (Demetrice)
Asheboro Nc, Ezekiel Winningham, Greensboro NC,
3 brothers James A. Hill (Margaret) Lumberton NC,
Auther Hill (Sonte) Lillington NC, Napoleon M. Hill,
Asheboro. 7 sisters Christa Brunson (Charles) P NC,
Malachia Bristow. Barnesville NC, Belinda Alford(Joe)
Virginia, Lauricia Grant (Kerry) Charleston SC,
Cynthia Hill, Fayettevlle NC and Vanessa Hill of
Monroe NC 1 aunt Effie Stones Lumberton NC, 17
grandchildren, 7 great granchildren and a host of
cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary accepted Christ and was under the Leadership
of Pastor Christa and Charles Brunson where she
was a member at Divine Christian Attitude Church in                                                                                                                                                                                              Orrum NC..Mary loved reading her bible , watching
westerns. eating, and spending time with family.
