Laverne Love

     On Thursday, June 20, 2019, God in His infinite wisdom called to eternal rest our beloved Laverne “Lee” Love. He was born on February 18, 1963 in Lumberton, NC to the late Martha Ray Love.

     Lee attained his education and graduated from Lumberton Senior High School. He furthered his education at Job Corp for four years. He was employed by Jensen Manufacturing in Lumberton, NC. He was a true North Carolina Tarheel and Dallas Cowboy fan. He also enjoyed our hometown sport events. He loved the family gatherings and, he was a member here at First Baptist Church. Lee’s voice and laugh was affectionate in every sense.

     He leaves to cherish his memories to two sisters,  Brenda Love of the home - an extension of motherly love, and Jaqueline Love of Kuwait, seven brothers, Dennis Love and Michael Love (fiancé Tameko Cromartie) both of Lumberton, NC; Danny Love (Ruth) of Orrum, NC; Billy Love (Lakisha) of Charlotte, NC; Thomas “Tuba” McMillian (Janice) of Little River, SC; Carlos McMillian (Cynthia) Bronx, NY; one uncle, Sam Love of Lumberton, NC; one aunt, Gwen McCollum Love of  Fayetteville, NC; two nephews whom Lee reared, Roshawn Brown (Leah) Greensboro, NC; Lonnie Brown (Quannah) of Winston Salem, NC; two special friends, Lemorris Moore and Jeffery Washington both of Lumberton, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
