Francina Christian

     On May 20, 2019 our loved one Francina Taylor Christian was called to eternal rest. Francina was born on May 7, 1965 in Valhalla, New York. She was the daughter of the late William Taylor Sr. and Barbara Walker Taylor.

     Francina was an outstanding mother, loving wife, devoted auntie, beautiful daughter, crazy sister, and an amazing grandmother. She is loved by so, so many near and far.

     Francina attended the Public Schools of Robeson County and graduated with the class of 1983 at Fairmont High School. She was united in holy matrimony with William “Mike” Godfrey. They loved each other dearly through thick and thin. She was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church.

     Her career started in the mid 80’s as a CNA. As she continued her journey in the nursing field she continued her studies at Robeson Community College where she got her credentials as a CNA II. She worked at Carolton Nursing Facility which ended up Highland Nursing Facility in Lumberton, NC. Francina was a hard working woman whom gave her all to her work and family. Before it was all over she had given 59 years in her career.

     She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Ja’Quan Taylor.

     Even though the beautiful and courageous woman has left this side physically her heart remains with so man. Her husband, William “Mike” Godfrey of the home, her five children, Kathreda Taylor and Jason Taylor both of Fairmont, NC; Lashanada Lewis (Marcus Solomon) of Charlotte, NC; Cnovetta Chrisitian (Travis Finklea) of Latta, SC; and Edna Taylor (Andrew) of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Etta Taylor and Helen Taylor both of Fairmont, NC; four brothers, William Taylor (Sandra) of Fairmont, NC; Bobby Walker of Rocky Mount, NC; and Tito Ford of Pennsylvania, five aunts, Margie, Edna, Betty, Thee, and Hattie, one uncle, John C (JC), two special sisters, Barbara Ann Evans and Velvet Miles, eleven grandchildren, Mel’Quan (Ashley) Williams, Khadijah Taylor, Maryah Solomon, Saleria Thompson, Taliyah Thompson, Brianna Gaddy, Brandi Gaddy, Jameson Graham, Laysia
