Evelyn Deloris Pipkin

     Evelyn Deloris Pipkin, 68, of Red Springs, NC transitioned from time to eternal peace on April 24, 2019.

     Evelyn Deloris Arnette Pipkin, was born to Lawrence Arnette and OraLee Thompson- Arnette. She was educated by the public school system of Robeson County. She attended Robeson Community College for six months in which she became a CNA. She also continued her education for two more years in which she earned her Associates of Science degree in Fashion Design (Seamstress).

     At an early age Evelyn joined Holy Swamp Baptist Church. She worked as a pastor aide, usher, deaconess, secretary for Sunday school, became a member of the gospel choir, and helped direct many of the programs. Evelyn was also an Eastern Star. She was a member of Dawn of Morning Chapter #294 (OES). Evelyn loved cooking for her family, gardening, sewing and crafting. She did not believe in doing things the last minute and she was always on time. Evelyn’s faith in God is strong. She was never a complainer. She turned to and put God first in everything she did. Evelyn was there for everyone no matter the day or hour. Evelyn would give you her last before she saw you without. No matter what she went through or how she felt, she would always say, “ God’s got me.”

     Evelyn was preceded in death by her dad Lawrence Arnette Sr., her mother Oralee Thompson-Arnette, her brother Lawrence Arnette Jr., and her sister Elanor Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories, her loving husband of 51 1/2 years James Hilton Pipkin Sr. Of Pembroke, NC.

Her brother, Charles Johnson. Her sons- James Pipkin Jr., Johnny Pipkin, Glenn Campbell, Wayne Floyd, Trevor Jones, & Terrance Barefield

Her daughters- Evelyn Pipkin, Virginia Campbell, Brenda Pipkin(fiance Webster Mitchell), & Addie Pipkin. 24 grandchildren, 28 great grands and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
