Mrs. Connie Elaine Roberts, the daughter of the late Mr. Eddie James and Mrs. Agnes Ellerby was born January 28, 1959 in Fairmont, NC. On August 8, 2019 she departed this life at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
Connie Elaine Roberts attended the Public Schools of Robeson County and graduated June 7, 1978 from Fairmont High School. Later on in life she met and married her beloved husband Harry Roberts. To this union two children was born. Connie worked at Stones Industry in Fair Bluff for ten years. She was also employed at Rampac, Total Solutions, and the Public Schools of Robeson County as a substitute teacher. She was an ordained deacon, licensed minister, and a Sunday School teacher at Rose of Sha’ron Missionary Baptist Church where she worked humbly and willingly for the Lord. She was a part of the 18th District Order of the Eastern Stars Naomi Chapter 561. She was also a part of the Tent Sisters of Marietta, NC. Connie enjoyed being a house wife, reading her Bible, and talking on the phone with her siblings.
She was proceeded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving husband, Harry Roberts of the home, two daughters, Robin Ellerby and Deidre Roberts both of the home, a special daughter, Julia Ellerby who she raised, one step-son, Antron Roberts, six grandchildren, Shanice, Allen, Zamaria, Shalyrial, Shamad, and Ja’Conye of the home, two god children, Shaquelle and Demya, two brothers John Charles, and Edward Ellerby, four sisters, Rev. Vista Jones, Priscilla Ellerby, Brenda Scott, and Dr. Sharon Ellerby, two sister-in-laws, Rita Jones and Cora Stephen Jones, two brother-in-laws, Bobby Jones, and Stephen Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, a special friend and best friend Surprenor Grissett.
