Cememeco Powell

     Ms. Cememeco Powell (Lou) daughter of the late Willie and Arletha Powell was born on March 1, 1954 in Fairmont, NC. She departed this life on June 17, 2019. 

     She attended the Robeson County School System and relocated to Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1970. She was employed with the state of New York and Victoria Packaging. Four years ago a few years after retiring Ms. Cememeco Powell relocated back home to Fairmont North Carolina to help care for her aging mother. She always said a peace of mind is the best thing you can have.

     She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons, Mr. Corey and Mr. Craig Powell of New York; seven grand kids, Tyrell, Shyhiem, Sade, Chance, Pharoh all of New York and Olivia and Melanie of Arizona; two great grands, five sisters, Verna Simmons, Linda R Williams and Sherron Powell all residing in New York, Shelia McMillian and Cherry R. Walters (Robert), both of Fairmont, three brothers, Randy Powell (Amanda) of Charlotte, NC and Wilbert Leak and Willie Jr. of Fairmont, a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews and  great nieces. a beloved nephew, Darryle, God children, Anton, Ravi and Lucy. There are also a host of other relatives and friends.
