Ralph Moody was born February 10, 1950 in Robeson County, NC to the late Mayo and Armatha Moody. Ralph departed this life on April 4, 2024. Ralph was raised up in Free Will Baptist Church. He attended Fairmont High School and worked a couple of Plant jobs before starting his career as a truck driver. Ralph loved the outdoors. He spent his free time hunting, fishing, working on his cars and whenever the weather permitted he took many advantages of his many toys like his motorcycle, dune buggy and four wheelers. He played baseball and basketball and was an amazing pool player. He also loved watching westerns.
In 1994 Ralph married Donna and was a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather. Ralph was a long time member of Star Of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Mayo and Armatha Moody, two sons, Anthony Pittman and Ollie Dion Moody, one grandson, Antwon Hunt, four brothers, Thomas Moody, John Moody, Leo Moody, and Jerry Moody.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Donna Moody, six sons, Ralph A. Moody of Durham, NC, James W. Moody of Hampton, VA, Raphael Moody of Marion, SC, Tim Moody of Dillon, SC, Dedric Thompson of Baytown, TX, and Ethan Thompson of Houston, TX, two daughters, Whitney Pelt of Dillon, SC and Shnae Thompson of Lumberton, NC, five grandsons, Raekwon Thompson of Houston, TX, Tyrese Bradley of Mebane, NC, Donovan Thompson of Haltiesburg, MS, Xavier Thompson and Carter Thompson both of Lumberton, NC, five granddaughters, Synai Pittman of Fairmont, NC Mya Moody of Newport News, VA, Taliyah Moody of Hampton, VA, Aniya Thompson of Mebane, NC and Ryann Thompson of Houston, TX, one great granddaughter, Va’Nyar Figueros of Newport News, VA, Two sisters, Joyce Pack of Sumter, SC and Marie Pigatt of Effingham, SC one brother Larry Moody along with so many family and friends who truly love and care for him.
