Ms. Shirley Ann Wright

     Ms. Shirley Ann Wright went from labor to reward on Thursday, August 18, 2016. Sister Shirley was born on August 5, 1960 to the late Cora Lee King and Wisdom Wright. As a child, Shirley loved to sing and dance. She also attended Public Schools of Robeson County. Later in life she met the love of her life, the late Dwight Aarron Jones. To this union, four beautiful daughters were born. Shirley was a home-maker, wife, devoted mother and grandmother.

     If you really knew Shirley, you know she was a handful. She was one who didn’t mind telling you what was on her mind. If you rubbed her the wrong way, you had a problem, especially if you messed with her four girls. If you messed with one Wright you had to deal with them all. It didn’t matter your age. As time progressed Shirley turned to God and changed her life. She joined Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and also attended Jonesville Baptist Church. Shirley enjoyed life. She loved cooking, sitting on her porch, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Shirley will be missed by anyone who loved and knew her. Heaven has surely gained an angel.

     She leaves to cherish four daughters, Erica Denise Wright, and Stephanie Michelle Wright both of Lumberton, NC; Shirlene Wright and Valerie Roshanda Wright both of Fairmont, NC; fourteen grandchildren, Desaray, Tatiyana, Tykiea, Kaniya, Kyree, Diavian, Aaron, Monty, Niheem, Nehemiah, Zyi’air, Dashia, YaYa, and Areana, one sister, Mary Elizabeth Wright, a brother,   David Earl Wright, one niece, Gernita Wright, three nephews, Jack Baldwin, Suan Evans, and Alford Wright, three special sons, Donald Ray Jones, James “Pookie” Jones and Michael Patterson, four special girls she considered as daughters, LaKuanda William, Courtney Page, Maria Kelly, and Tyshiba Huddleston, and a host of other relatives and friends.
