Ms. Shirley Jean Faulk

      Ms. Shirley Jean  Faulk, 56 of Lumberton transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday Feb. 12, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Fair Bluff, NC, on February 18, 1960 to the late Willis Ford and Betty Jane McPaul.

     Shirley was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County and she graduated from Robeson Community College. She worked many jobs in her lifetime, but two that she truly loved and enjoyed were being a Certified Nursing Assistant and a school bus driver for 19 years.  Shirley loved helping others, and she had a smile so big—just as big as her heart. She joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Marietta, NC, at a very early age and later joined Sand Hill Baptist Church in Lumberton.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ron Christopher Ellerby, and her brother, Alfred Lee Floyd. 

     She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Tonya Fleming, of the home; her grandchildren: Christopher Ellerby, Raven Ellerby, Jordan Waters and Georgianna Waters all of Lumberton; one great-grandchild: Kayden Ellerby; three sisters: Lisa Davis of Fayetteville; Cynthia Davis, husband, Michael of Fairmont; and Elizabeth Murphy of Pinehurst;  three aunts:Orina Morris and Martha Ford, both of Dillon, SC; and Aletha Christian of Brooklyn, NY; three nieces Doris Floyd of Lumberton, Winter Davis of Fayetteville, and Hazel Parker of Raleigh, NC; three nephews: Willie Floyd and Deon Davis of Fairmont; and Jayden Davis of Fayetteville; one great-niece Novah Floyd and one great-nephew Antonio Floyd, both of Fairmont.
